The Gaya Logo is a hieroglyphical script. The logo is shaped around a Chinese character describing the harmonious and perpetual flow of sea waves, but also symbolizing the establishment of new standards to lead in the hotel industry.
“GAYA” in Aboriginal language means “follow the path of the ancestors transmitting a sense of life enjoinment, treasuring the culture, and always fulfilling the spirit”. Employees make this sentence their motto.
Culture is an aggregate of values and beliefs in which we identify ourselves. In order to introduce and bring the guests closer to our local customs, The Gaya Hotel creates an environment characterized by a combination of culture and technology.
The Gaya Hotel strives for the concepts of “technology” and “culture” combined for tourism. The collaboration with the international architect and designer Yeh Yu Ching fostered the idea of creating a “Cultural Hotel”. This approach is strategic to combine Taitung’s local customs with the international community and provide a service that is authentic and original.
Taitung is surrounded by breathtaking mountains and valleys, rivers that water the rice fields, the Pacific Ocean with a gorgeous coastline, and natural hot springs. Because of this rich environment and the aboriginal background of Taitung, The Gaya Hotel based its spirit and attitude on harmony with nature and the people of Taitung to promote itself in the tourism market.
